Liked: Absolute perfection! Exceeded all our exptectations. Immaculately clean, steeped in history. Best bed I have ever slept in! Superb full Scotting breakfast. Patrick and Cecilia were the perfect hosts.

Liked: We were amazed at the decor and Patrick gave us a very warm welcome, including sharing lots of cool’s stories about the castle…Couldn’t believe Henry the 8th stayed in the room next door (some years ago) and we particularly loved the secret passage way from our room to the great hall. Xx

Liked: From the moment we arrived at this dreamy 17th century château, our hosts Patrick and Cecilia gave us an extremely warm and friendly welcome. They do a remarkable job of making this château a place of great luxury. There are never any problems for Patrick 🥰. Everything here is luxury, calm and voluptuous. The bedroom and great room are decorated with exquisite, authentic taste. The breakfast is delicious and very copious.In a word, we loved staying at Barcaldine Castle. A timeless place to visit Absolutely

A stunning place!

Liked: What a stunning place! The castle was wonderful and cozy, not a museum, but a comfortable place to stay. Really a luxury B&B. The staff was marvellous, especially Patrick, who made our stay at the castle unforgettable. He was so friendly and helpful and had also a great sense of humour. Absolutely the best visit we have ever had! Strong recommendation!

Liked: Patrick was outstanding; he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and ease. We couldn't be happier about our stay!
Disliked: Wifi could be improved, I wouldn’t plan on being able to use it while you're there. However, who needs WIFI when you’re in a Castle in Scotland?

I wish we had stayed...

Liked: We loved its antique charm and how it blended into its space. We loved the location away from urban hustle and bustle. Patrick and Celia were wonderful welcoming staff and we felt their genuine love of this property.
