Overall we had a great...

Liked: This property was in a great location! It is pretty central to a lot of the major attractions in Madrid! Our host was excellent, he took the time to point out areas of interest on the map and made sure we had everything we needed!
Disliked: The beds weren’t the most comfortable in the world.

I love the place

Liked: It was really clean place. And the beds were really comfy. We stayed at 4 bed dorm room and it’s really great to have your own bathroom. And also they have a great terrace.

Close to transportation and town...

Liked: Location was great. Check-in was easy. Staff was pleasant.
Disliked: My room window overlooked a street filled with shops/restaurants. The loud talking/laughing/noise lasted into the wee hours. I had to wear earplugs AND headphones to deal with it. Everything else was just fine.

Liked: 1) Central location. 2) Gracious host. 3) Private bathroom was clean. 4) This was the best of the three hostels we booked during our weeklong stay in Spain in June 2025.
Disliked: These may seem like a lot, but are minor: 1) This is the only property I know — and I have traveled across four continents since — that still uses Covid as an excuse to curtail staff hours. They should stop doing that.2) Email claimed I was informed about midnight closing of reception. I checked my information, and was not informed.3) Floor was dusty. We could feel the dust on our feet. A quick vacuum would have been helpful.4) Air conditioner was weak. We are from Wyoming in the USA, where it gets to -50 degrees F (-46 degrees C) before windchill in the winter. At the end of an exhausting day, good aircon is very important.5) We paid €94.30 for one night, for one double room with private bath. That feels high, and comparable to hotel rates.
