Great! Friendly! Quirky!

Liked: Staff were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always a ready happy smile. I did not feel like an intrusion on their day unlike so many of the impersonal multinational chains. WhenI was the only one for late breakfast, yet I was not made to feel like an intrusion on their day. The funky quirky decor is really different but well done so it is not OTT. Our spacious bathroom was to die for with a really big deep bath and no apprentice end to the hot water. The products supplied were good too. The food at the hotel was excellent, with a large menu with lots of variety. Despite being at the front of the hotel our room was very quiet and was also very clean and tidy.The choose of bar / restaurant seating was nice and didn’t make any difference to the quality of service, bot had a good atmosphere when we were settled that was just down to the company.
Disliked: The door lock was a bit loose as it it had been forced at some time but it still locked securely. Whilst WE LOVED the quirky four poster and It was ****NOT**** an issue for us; the bed is a bit low and other guests may find it an issue.

Liked: I loved the way I could get extra coffee milk water etc when I needed. The staff didn’t have a problemWith request. They were so nice. I can’t remember the names but they were really lovely . I would like to say- the manager was really lovely- helpful.
Disliked: I didn’t dislike anything

Liked: Well looked after by Jeff. Breakfast is always very good, in fact, the food generally is very good.
Disliked: Long afternoon of a Karcher being used to clean moss and dirt, some of which wound up on the car.

Great hotel for a stay...

Liked: Room was clean, huge gorgeous bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious poached eggs. They started breakfast earlier for me as I had an early appointment. It's my second time at this hotel. Will stay again.

Great stay if travelling to...

Liked: Great location. Very good food and beverages. Large room with good shower. Great character stay. Excellent breakfast.
