Great hotel in a great...

Liked: The rooms were very clean, lovely bathroom and enjoyed the coffee and biscuits available in the rooms. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay again if were in the area
Disliked: Nothing was wrong with this hotel although our room faced the main road and above the beer cellar so was a little noisier than expected.

Liked: The food was excellent, staff very friendly
Disliked: Very noisy room , unfortunately over looking busy road , definitely overpriced for a deluxe room as didn’t meet those standards, very cold bathroom as very large (but nice )so needed heating for towels , had a nice mirror with lights but didn’t work!

Wonderful restaurant but the hotel...

Liked: The restaurant and the staff in the restaurant was fabulous.
Disliked: The rooms are in need of updating. They look very tired and whilst the interior design is lovely, it looks like it was done quite cheaply about 10 years ago.

Exceptional

Liked: Staff at Banyers were excellent. Made us so welcome. Plenty menu choice and had authentic Pizza oven. Meals we had were first class. Great location. 10 mins from train station. Rooms were well laid out with plenty facilities.
Disliked: Loved it all.

Very good

Absolutely gorgeous rooms and bathrooms....

Liked: We have stayed here twice before and have always thought it really good. Each time the rooms have been beautiful, the cleanliness perfect and the breakfasts good (although not always perfect but how many places is breakfast ever perfect!) I really enjoy staying here, we have family in Royston and have stayed here at Easter for the last 3 years - we look forward to it.
Disliked: For 3 years now we have asked for pineapple juice at breakfast but alas......... I like the way the a big glass of fruit juice is brought to your table at breakfast but maybe ask first if people want lots of ice in it - it can be a bit hard on sensitive teeth!

Liked: We had dinner & breakfast, the food was lovely and the staff so friendly! Had a great time! The bed was very comfy so slept well too.

Over-priced, uncomfortable and a bit...

Liked: Breakfast was good
Disliked: The rooms all have a bright green LED light in the ceiling that makes it hard to sleep. Our room specifically had the windows completely obscured in order to block out the view of industrial machinery - but that didn't block the noise, which also kept us up at night. Also, the toilets didn't flush properly and the shower and toilet in our room were both dirty-looking. All in all, not what we expected for the price.
