Liked: The external, condition of the hotel is disgustingly shabby and not welcome ,…reception was fine but our bathroom had not been cleaned and the toilet had not been flushed by the previous customer…shocking! We asked to be moved but we were told it was not possible…the manager said she would “ tell house keeping” ( who weren’t on site)…but she personally cleaned the room,The lift was frightening and l asked if it was safe to use!Our room well equipped and both the carpet and furnishings were all clearly new…But we didn’t sleep,Dinner was excellent but wall paper in the restaurant was split and coming away from the wall.Breakfast equally as good and plenty of variety .but ruined by a coach load of males whose language was unacceptable All the staff were very friendly .But the hotel in general is more shabby than chic and not what we expected from one of TVs Dragon Den personalities.
