Disliked: The location was very good and the room was comfortable but it’s a very small sized property .They promised continental breakfast but it was really a coupon for very limited options at a nearby cafe . Not good !

Great location across from campus...

Liked: Great location if you want to be across from campus. Beautiful historic building with lovely architectural detail. Very comfortable bed and bedding-slept well. Liked Room 209, a corner room with a balcony and a window overlooking a second balcony used as a fire escape. The room and bathroom are old and small as other reviewers noted, but there is a spacious walk-in closet to keep bags out of the way. Small bathroom offset by ample towel hooks and bars, and bath towels were thick. Breakfast voucher for Caffe Strada next door gets one a good continental breakfast including fresh OJ and delicious pastries, including vegan muffins. Didn't miss the lack of AC because there is a ceiling fan, and weather was cool and crisp. Although the check-in desk is staffed by one employee who may not necessarily have hospitality experience, I appreciated that night staff made a note of my early arrival when I called the night before, and I was able to access the room early in the morning to nap after a redeye flight.
Disliked: Bathroom tile could use a good cleaning, not just a wet mop, around the edges and in corners, especially behind toilet. Be prepared because this is basically a B&B inn without hotel amenities like hairdryer, fridge or elevator. However, staff stored some food of mine in hotel fridge and my luggage was light enough to carry upstairs (help was offered). There are two frat houses next door, so be prepared for weekend music and partying into the wee hours (at least only Friday night) - figured that's part of college life, and it wasn't so loud as to bother my sleep. Finally, ants appeared at the sign of food, so store one's food or alert hotel staff.

Excellent! Location was great to...

Liked: I liked the historic nature of building and the architectural features that were still present. Loved the in person check in and keys to room. The room was nice and clean and bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Maybe the noise one night because we had to have window open but was able to sleep through it and actually added the college excitement to the whole trip!

All all, the hotel is...

Liked: The breakfast is good.
Disliked: The staff made the mistake to charge me twice. Then, I have to go back the hotel to ask for a refund again.
