Do NOT stay here -...

Liked: Place is a building site, rubble everywhere, dismantled buildings and cordoned off areas. Not suitable for kids at all. No amenities, no pool no bar no restaurant, all ripped out. They won’t warn you of this until you get there and they’ve already got your money. The 40 mins away alternative pool they offer is dire - and won’t be worth how much you’ve spent to be there.
Disliked: Staff were rude and incompetent and dismissive. Outright refused to cancel our stay based on false advertising, and the manager pretended to not be the manager to avoid dealing with us asking for a refund. Hotel barely scrapes by as a three star even if the amenities were available.

Great vacation and stay.

Liked: It was a great quaint place with lots of amenities
Disliked: It was hard to get cleaning lady to do a whole lot or come regularly even after asking.

Excellent resort in the heart...

Liked: Lovely, clean room and modern accommodation. Kids play area (giant chess board, connect 4 and Cornhole) was a nice feature, as was the little bar area with hammocks down by the pier. It's very convenient to the turtle hospital, as well as sombrero beach and some nice restaurants and other amenities. Short drive to 7 mile bridge and Bahia Honda state Park which is beautiful. We also day tripped to Key West from here.
Disliked: The pool was closed during our stay, which we weren't told about until we were checking in. It was very disappointing as this is a key feature for our kids.

Liked: Kelly the bartender at the sunset bar was outstanding! Friendly, attention, upbeat and had great recommendations for local spots!!

Expectations were met based on...

Liked: Location was great in Marathon, just before the 7 mile bridge. WIFI worked great for all devices. Beautiful outdoor area with hammocks, chairs and games next to an outdoor bar right on the water at marina.
Disliked: Bed sheets were rough and scratchy, no daily house keeping, dinning area for breakfast was exceptionally small for the number of guests staying and food went fast.

Liked: Beautiful waterside location with great place to watch sun go down.
Disliked: Breakfast could have had a bit more variety

It was a clean, comfortable...

Liked: Clean, close to marina, it had a nice place to gather and watch the sunset by the marina, bike rental was a plus. Close to turtle hospital, snorkeling and fishing charters, and local restaurants.
Disliked: Housekeeping didn’t come for a couple of days so I had to ask for towels at the front desk. Breakfast was only 0800-1000. Depending on staff- some staff would stock the breakfast and replenish items, others would not. ( sometimes eggs were gone by 0830 , and there were still people coming in for breakfast.). Some staff would properly replenish as needed .
