Truly a home away from...

Liked: We had an outstanding stay. The property is beautifully manicured with gorgeous gardens, comfortable outdoor sitting areas, and all the amenities are provided. The bedroom is large, spacious and comfortable. So is the bathroom. Breakfast is a self-serve continental style with juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, a wide range of cereals, toast, jam, Vegemite, and peanut butter. I must give extra kudos to whoever made the bread for the toast as it is delicious! I chose the potato and rosemary bread and highly recommend it. This place is walking distance between two areas that have numerous coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, barbershops, grocery stores, and all kinds of nail salons and spa services. We walked 1.5 km to the ferry which took us to downtown Brisbane for only $.50! It is a great way to get around and see the sites from the river, and the ferries come every 10-15 minutes. Be sure to ride the ferry after dark as the nighttime lights of the city are spectacular!The host, Brian, was there to greet us and give us the lay of the land. He was very kind and helpful, and then he disappeared for the rest of our stay to give us our privacy. We loved being able to do our laundry!I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It is truly a home away from home.
Disliked: Occasionally a plane would pass by overhead but nothing can be done about that!

Liked: Great location. Short walk to ferry and restaurants. Big bedroom and lovely verandah to sit outside.

Beware !!!! Airport flight path

Liked: A nice accommodation, not sure if our bed was a queen, but linen was lovely...
Disliked: Sadly we arrived after a major weather event...stayed here with another couple (years in the making) and we did not feel respected to our private time... regardless of the weather event, the privacy was not respected...scenarios on the upper level (residence) and around the rooms disrupted sleeps, naps, chats.and privacy..Be aware !!!!The Brisbane Airport flight path over the property, was never mentioned on reviews and begins at 6am as does the major road traffic.Breakfast of frozen bread (no dates on packaging)...some white sourdough, but more of them olives, garlic, or rosemary (not a breakfast choice).. pre -used butter, opened milk/orange juice is NOT what we have experienced anywhere else..

Disliked: Being a typical old queenslander, we could hear the owners upstairs moving about

Was amazing and quiet, I...

Liked: Very spacious, modern, clean and owner was very welcoming and friendly. Very close to lots of restaurants 450m walk to the right and lots of shops to the left 500m walk. Very central to everything.
