Balmoral Hotel

Had a great time, great...

Liked: Didn't stay at Balmoral, it had been bought over by Craig Y Don We got a better deal here as we hadn't booked for breakfast but they gave us breakfast here for free. The lift took us from just outside our room right into the dining room which was great. We also got a sea view room which was perfect, the Balmoral had been going to charge us for this.
Disliked: Room wasn't that big and would have liked two chairs but let's face it, it was opposite the beach with a bus and tram stop just outside the door so what's not to like.

Liked: The location was fab close to local amenities
Disliked: I booked to stay in the updated side of the craigy don (balmoral) but when I got there I was given room 28 which was nothing as described in the booking. I have stayed numerous times previous at craigy don and it’s fab but it would have been nice to stay in the room I booked

It has been upgraded but...

Disliked: The smell of sewage in bathroom which was over powering all night in bedroom but next day was rectified

Disliked: entertainment was poor lift was out of order so had loads of stairs room floor was not level it was all over like walking up a mountain breakfast was OK it was quite noisey outside at the back

Liked: Hotel is now joined to the Craig a Don. Rooms have been decorated and are fresh and clean. The lift wasn't working which was difficult for a member of our group. The hotel did give her another lower room but it still had stairs. Also breakfast is downstairs so it was a struggle to get to it without the lift.
Disliked: At night the main entertainment was good but not enough room for all the guests. You couldn't move chairs through to accommodate the full group. The gentleman behind the bar said he would get us one but never.
