Ballygally Castle

Comfortable stay but disappointing meal...

Liked: Good room and location
Disliked: Very poor evening meal of haddock and chips which was hardly bigger than a fish finger! Was nice but spoilt by low quantity Expensive bar and wine list

Great start for your Northern...

Liked: Well we booked this place because of the ghostroom and it was our start for the roadtrip to the Giants causeway.We thought that the place was booked with either goths or ghost hunters (we like that kind of People so I am not judging) but non of that was the case. Just regular People who booked a room to enjoy the castle and it amazing surroundings. The staff was very helpfull, generous and very very kind!! The rooms where very comfortable and clean. I only thought that the smell in the castle was not exactly my kind of fragrance. But perhaps this is due to the ghosts that stay at BallyGally

Sleeping like kings and queens

Liked: In the Ballygally castle hotel you receive wonderfully big, comfortable rooms with king size beds that both make you feel truly royal. Add to it the amazing staff who go out of their way to answer all your requests and wishes and you got yourself a place you won’t ever want to leave. Spotlessly clean, located practically on the beach with a view that takes your heart away and a garden looked after with great care, love and attention it also offers parking spaces in front of its entrance. There’s absolutely nothing more you could ask for. And I could go on like this much much longer still. Or say it out plainly - if you’re in the area, that’s a place you don’t want to miss.

Liked: The staff were great. The rooms spacious and comfortable. Lovely gardens outside.
Disliked: The rooms are a in hotel attached to a section of castle.

We had an ocean view...

Liked: Great location for exploring the north coast. Sea views. Good facilities. A mixture of modern and character. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful eg. found us a map for use over the weekend.
Disliked: Not always easy to get a parking space. Right on the road, which although quite a small road, does have through traffic. Dinner was disappointing and breakfast choice was limited.
