A little disappointed by the...

Liked: The entrance and front of the building were impressive as was the stained glass window.
Disliked: The room was underwhelming.

Overall it provided our needs...

Liked: Clean. Nice setting. Handy for town. Chef and staff excellent. Comfy beds. Good showers.
Disliked: Perhaps a slightly more friendly welcome when we arrived would have created a better impression to suit the rest of the stay.

Great for dogs and beautiful...

Liked: Spacious for the dogs and easy to take them out.
Disliked: When contacting hotel, male who answered phone was very abrupt and not particularly friendly- all the other staff we met in the hotel were lovely, particularly the waitress who served our breakfast.
