Liked: The food at Bad St Isidor is really incredible. I highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the hotel for the convenience and also the exceptional quality of the meals. Some of the best food I've had in a long time, all with a beautiful view of the mountains and Bolzano.
Disliked: As a solo traveller relying on public transport, it was not ideal to get around, but it was doable. The hotel was up the mountain from Bolzano, but cable car makes it possible to get into town (after trekking halfway up the mountain). If you are planning a stay, I recommend having a car for sure, but the peacefulness and views of the hotel made the long journeys to the popular hikes worth it. The service though was amazing, and the entire staff was so generous.

Liked: Very accommodating staff provided us with all the necessary information. The location is very peaceful and quiet, ideal for getting some rest from busy city life. It also makes a great starting point for beautiful hikes, with the surrounding nature waiting to be explored. The views from both the dining room and the terrace are breathtaking; they truly set the scene for a relaxing meal. The food is delicious, with a great selection of locally sourced produce for breakfast and an optional dinner.We can’t recommend the dinner option enough; it’s a perfect way to end a day of exploring. The food is simple, represents the region, it is well thought through, greatly executed and ballanced.
