Why Concert-goers love it

Despite its central location, the hotel stays relatively quiet at night—ideal for unwinding after a loud gig. Flexible 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out times let you plan around late-night concerts without stress. And with free Wi-Fi throughout, it’s easy to post those post-show selfies.

Food and Drink Options

Start your day right with a full cooked Scottish breakfast served in a beautifully restored dining room. After the show, unwind in the hotel’s cozy bar, which offers a curated selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. While there’s no 24/7 room service or late-night dining on-site, you’re just a short walk from Edinburgh’s vibrant food scene with plenty of options open late.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself keeps things calm, you’re within walking distance of lively bars and pubs around Haymarket and Princes Street. Whether you’re in the mood for live local music, a quiet craft beer, or a late-night dram, you’ll find it nearby.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s historic charm and modern upgrades, especially the elegant rooms and friendly staff. Reviews often praise the central yet quiet location and the quality of the breakfast. Many visitors say they’d return just for the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no elevator, and the beautiful original staircase might be a challenge if you’re carrying heavy bags. Also, while it’s walkable to venues, those with mobility issues might prefer something even closer to the action.

The Bottom Line

A stylish and peaceful retreat just minutes from the heart of Edinburgh’s music scene—B B Edinburgh is perfect for concert-goers who want charm, comfort, and convenience.

Liked: Did everything it says on “the tin” and more! Spacious and well located.
Disliked: The room was spacious with great on-suite with excellent water pressure. The bed was super comfy with high quality linen sheets. . The views were stunning of Dean village! As an experienced traveler and someone who knows Edinburgh well, you could spend a lot of money on accommodation and not arrive at anything half as good as this well run establishment!

Liked: The location was fabulous! It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The street was very quiet with a really pretty park across from the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and there were nice big bath towels. The lobby and dining room were gorgeous! The breakfast was very tasty, too!
Disliked: There were only two outlets in the room, and they were under the desk. We had to crawl under there to plug/unplug the hair dryer, phone charger, etc. The room had amazing natural light through the windows during the day, but after dark, the only choices were a very weak overhead light and a tiny little bedside lamp that didn’t put out much light.

Liked: The room was lovely - had a gorgeous view, was super clean and the bed comfy. Plus a bath! Good breakfast, lots of options.
Disliked: The bedside light didn't work. Nor did the phone to reach reception. Some of the staff/managers were discussing work matters within ear shot, eg you could hear them criticising other staff, telling them off, with no awareness that guests could hear. This was unpleasant.

Fabulous building, lovely quirky attic...

Liked: The breakfast room is lovely.
Disliked: If you don’t want a cooked breakfast the food isn’t great. Also a large group were standing around pushing against my table and staff didn’t do anything. That’s in contrast with reception staff, who were excellent.
