Superb

Liked: Our 3rd stay, this time for touring the area staff were very friendly & helpful
Disliked: After a long walk I had a refreshing shower before going to the restaurant, as the sink was very small & the water gushed out in such force that it soaked my trousers, I had to change back into my dusty hiking shorts, after that first episode the water missed me ending up on the floor.For some reason the restaurant wasn't open so I had a warm pie & cold mash.It was one of the hottest days of the year, the windows & doors were open resulting in a fly problem in the restaurant/bar areas & a moth problem in the bedroom, no escaping to drink outside were there was a wasp problem

Would love to stay again...

Liked: We were greeted by Fin who was so helpful and knowledgeable. He took us to our accommodation which was amazing. Offered to carry our bags and book a table for that evening. Excellent

Liked: Lovely surroundings. Such super staff,so helpful. Chef Callum went out of his way to accommodate our food requests. Food was absolutely delicious. Thankyou so much. We will definitely return.

Exceptional

Liked: Very pleasant staff , excellent location for Aysgarth Falls, lovely room , very nice Hotel
Disliked: Road can be a little noisy at times, but that's down to us , due to having such lovely weather and having the triple glazed windows open

Liked: Comfortable large bedroom and bathroom.

Wish we could have stayed...

Liked: Our room was exceptional !! Large screen TV, pop up phone and devices charging connection, roll top bath in room and fantastic ensuite bathroom with walk in waterfall shower head.Member of staff, Wendy, went out of her way to make our 1 night stay as good as it could be.The lovely Aysgarth Waterfalls were a short walk away.

The staff and location made...

Liked: The evening meals were excellent and best Sunday diner ever. The staff were very friendly and the whole ambience of the hotel was great. The garden and terrace were nice
Disliked: The breakfast was disappointing and we expected better. The cooked items were greasy and the scrambled egg wet and mushy. My husband couldn’t eat it. In hindsight he should have sent it back. He went for another croissantThe headboard of our bed was on the other side of Nextdoors bathroom we were lucky they didn’t go to bed late.

Lovley rooms- overpriced overcooked food

Liked: Good location for Yorkshire dales and clean spacious rooms. Staff friendly
Disliked: Overpriced and over cooked food in restaurant and rather disorganised about taking our order
