Axiom Hotel

I had a great time at the Powell. I love the location - it was like 5 minutes from my venue. The staff was great when I had questions. Bed was comfortable.

Liked: Great service; great location; very helpful staff.

Liked: Room was cleanhad towels and cups
Disliked: Noise from the AC outside the room. It didn't matter if the AC inside the room was turned off.

great hotel, with good location...

Liked: so close to the BART, spacious room, close to cable car and downtown area, great bed, in room gym, staff fixed a mix up with my booking very quickly and graciously
Disliked: the shower was not good and water pressure poor, tv did not have normal channels, needed to link through own device

Liked: The location is excellent, very convenient for tourists. It is very central but we hardly heard the hustle and bustle outside. Bed is very comfy and the cleaning of the rooms was exceptional I must say. Has all amenities you need in a room, ours was access friendly which we didn’t ask for so maybe larger than the others. Staff are pleasant. Useful ice machine and black out blinds.
Disliked: Some previous reviews mention the shower pressure and sadly it’s true the pressure of the shower was poor and it didn’t feel piping hot. We did have an older shower/bath combo though. It was too inconvenient to ask to change rooms and I’m not certain the showers in those rooms would have been better?

Almost not worth it for...

Liked: In Union Square
Disliked: Keycard must be recharged. I paid for 2 nights here, and I'm just going to stay for 1 night because my flight was canceled. And they just gave me a room that has dead battery. I have to line up twice in the concierge just to be told it was reactivated and then it needs to be recharged. I was to attend to a concert but now I'm late for 30 mins.
