Liked: This is a beach front property. Sleep with the sounds of the waves. Elizabeth and Selwyn were wonderful hosts. Left having made new friends. The way the property is set up is fabulous. Will leave future guests to discover Awatuna Sunset Lodge. We loved our stay here!
Disliked: Nothing.

2 days overlooking the shore...

Liked: Beautiful secluded beach view location with easy access to hokitika and greymouth. Great meals served on site. Elizabeth and Selwyn are gracious hosts.
Disliked: Nothing —- it was perfect for our needs

Liked: It was an exceptional experience to stay one night in the lodge with a stunning view. The owners made everything to make the guests feel comfortable and welcoming, just like staying with friends. The complimentary sundowner and the beach ride on the amphibious car made our stay definitely one of the highlights of our 4-week trip in NZ.

Wonderfully relaxing and refreshing.

Liked: Elizabeth and Selwyn were very welcoming and hospitable. The accommodations were modern and clean. The afternoon get together was a special touch. We ate dinner there which was delicious and prepared by Elizabeth with home grown produce.
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The location was beautiful on the Tasman Sea. The room was large and comfy. Elizabeth is a wonderful chef and dinner is available if you choose. Elizabeth and Selwyn provide a complimentary drink and nibbles for happy hour. Selwyn can take you to the beach for sunset in his all terrain vehicle. The included breakfast was fabulous with fresh eggs from their hens. Elizabeth makes many items herself. Wonderful experience!
Disliked: There are 2 rooms on the Tasman Sea side of the property. Unfortunately, we had a road side room which was noisy with traffic sounds. Make sure you book the seaside room.

Highly recommend to foodies !...

Liked: Beautiful location with views of the ocean to eat your breakfast, dinner. Wonderful home cooked meals with plenty of choice. We loved the “sundowners” drink with other guests and option to enjoy a hot tub to relax after our long day driving. Take the trip over the creek in their “radar” vehicle .. brilliant experience. Very comfortable bed and exceptionally clean.
