Cosy guest house with delicious...

Liked: Great location, close to all main attractions- town, shops, lake, restaurants/pubs.Clean and comfortable. Very nice hosts, who took our bags up stairs for us and guided us in terms of cleaning our muddy shoes!

Superb little B&B.

Liked: Very welcoming and super helpful couple. Had plenty advice for what to do in Keswick. Location is perfect, short walk to town center and to the lake.Room was immaculate and very comfortable.Delicious breakfast.
Disliked: No issues with property whatsoever.

Friendly hosts and lovely B&B

Liked: Really friendly hosts and so helpful with great local knowledge. Rooms were clean and well equipped with tea and coffee station and large comfy bed, we both slept really well. Really nice breakfast and accommodating of choices. Great homemade bread and preserves as well which was a lively touch. Would definitely stay again and would recommend. Also in a great location for Keswick.
Disliked: No parking but there is free parking on surrounding streets, we were aware of this but could be harder to park in peak season.

Liked: The cleanliness of the whole place was exceptional and such a relief to know that you were staying in a friendly, very well managed and maintained guest house. I would give the Avondale Guest House an overall rating of 5 STAR + The breakfast was excellent, including homemade Bircher & homemade sourdough bread. Considering the amount of people staying and even with our room based at the front (roadside) it was exceptionally quiet and along with the comfy pillows I slept really well. It was that quiet that we thought we were the only people staying, until we saw all the tables taken with other guests at breakfast!!! Also, there were lots of leaflets/maps about things happening in Keswick & the surrounding areas and the proprietors were very helpful & knowledgeable on local walks.So well done Amy & Chris for our excellent stay at Avondale and Thank You. I will definately be back to book in again.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing not to like. No Negatives.

Perfect Stay in a Perfect...

Liked: Spectacular stay in a great town. The hosts were lovely, helpful, kind, and considerate. Breakfast was great. No trouble with street parking. Hosts were helpful guiding us to places of interest and restaurants. Fantastic location. We hope to be able to get back to Keswick again and stay at Avondale House again!
