Avalon Hotel

A very enjoyable stay in...

Liked: I liked that the Avalon was right in the middle of Ocean Drive so we only had to cross the street to get to the beach. Our room had a water view and a view of all the activity on the street. Despite that, it was adequately quiet for sleeping.

Liked: The old style of the place and the location
Disliked: There was no electricity untill 4 oclock in the morning. No light, no ac and no possibility to sleep with opened window beauce of the party going on outside.

Nice room; great location shame...

Liked: Everything was great except for the service at breakfast. The hotel clearly wants guests to have more than the free breakfast which is included in the price. Sometimes we had to get our own coffee from inside the hotel; sometimes orange juice was offered sometimes not. Some days two croissants were available some days just one. Jam was included but not always. We were only shown the free breakfast menu twice whereas everyday we were given the normal non-free menu.

Liked: Very good location for a very sharp price. The rooms weren't very spacious, but for this location ok.Airco and environment quite noisy, but didn't bother us.The staff was super friendly and helped us where they could.Breakfast was limited (in price), but was good for what we needed.
