Avalon Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg

I loved the decorating of the hotel - it was a cool place to stay and an easy walk to downtown. I had a great view from my room. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. I will definitely book again.

Liked: Checking into the hotel was very friendly and warming. I was given all sorts of helpful information. The staff were excellent.
Disliked: The bathroom door in room was very hard to close.

Liked: It's an older hotel, but very up to date and the decor is unique. Room was cozy and bed was very comfortable, the free parking was nice, and everything was a short walk. Really liked the sister hotel amenities and the restaurant had good food.
Disliked: The A/C was a little noisy.

Good price for St.Petes. If...

Liked: Very nice and accommodating staff. They were helpful and kind.
Disliked: The suit we stayed in was separate from the pool area and lounge. So we needed to walk down the side walk a bit to get to it. The suits could use a bit more decoration and the pull out couch was on the older side.

Liked: Friendly staff, great location. Good breakfast restaurant.
Disliked: Our “suite” was in an old converted apartment building. Old and tired. Very musty odor in the room. The toilet was so close to the wall in front of it I had to sit sideways. Tiny room.

Liked: Really appreciated the on-site parking, staff, location, and partnership with Hollander.
Disliked: Didn’t know the apartments/suites were separate from the hotel. Electronically the suites were a little dated.
