Austin Marriott Downtown

Central downtown location with reasonable pricing and excellent rooms. Staff were extremely accommodating in meeting our needs.

Liked: Room and amenities. Accommodating and friendly staff.
Disliked: Access to hotel drive entrance not obvious.

Lovely hotel in great location

Liked: excellent location, excellent reception staff with lovely clean, modern room
Disliked: Rooftop bar was not being run well by host with many tables not being cleared, and the host spent more time with fawning member of staff than dealing with guests, we stood for ages at the entrance with staff walking past us and n one asked if we wanted anything, we were just ignored. This guys attitude did not reflect the rest of the staff in the hotelBreakfast is in the downstairs restaurant but is not like the normal hotel buffet breakfast, also when Booking.com offer you breakfast at additional cost it is not explained that this is a voucher for 25USD pp so not fully inclusive as presented, this is probably more to do with Booking.com rather than teh hotel

Ok this time

Liked: Like the location for walk around town at night. Elevator technology is solid. Gym is nice and roomy w/ good equipment.
Disliked: Earlier check in than 4pm. Had to wait for 1 hr to get into a room. Had to check out early and did not stay the 2nd night so good service would have been to offer me a free room on my next trip or some type of breakfast/lunch coupon.
