The Aussen Alster Hotel offers individually furnished subtly themed rooms with attached bathroom with free wireless internet access. In the morning enjoy the excellent breakfast buffet. Decent for the price, but...

Liked: The hotel was simple and overall decent. Check-in took a bit long, about 10 minutes l, and I would’ve appreciated a faster process to get straight to the room. That said, the room itself was fine: a comfortable single bed and a decent shower. Nothing fancy, but it covered the basics well.
Disliked: I think as quoted before. Checking in, because I needed the keys to the parking for the car garage, took a bit long whilst my car was outside in a narrow street with my alarm lights on. So could've been handled faster.

Cute quiet comfortable boutique hotel...

Liked: cute boutique hotel comfortably located on a nice quiet street in Aussen Alster, 10 min walk from Hauptbahnhof. staff was friendly & helpful. the river is a nearby & Lange Reihe had lots to offer for food & beverage options. we had a wonderful stay!
Disliked: bathroom fixtures were a bit dated, but functioned well.
