Lacking in care and overpriced.

Liked: The food in the restaurant was decent.
Disliked: The outside cabin rooms come pre-filled with midges. We got changed to a "superior" room inside which was better, but the shower was so rusty/dirty that the water that came out of it was brown. The rooms are really basic and insanely overpriced. For a Scottish bar/restaurant/hotel, the staff seemed to lack the most basic knowledge about whisky. I felt sad that this place is probably a lot of tourists' experience of Scotland, as it doesn't represent hospitality here at all. The food was nice, but otherwise, it all felt criminally low effort for somewhere that could be a cute stop.

Aultguish inn

Liked: Very nice place to stay away from built up areas. We were happy with everything.
Disliked: There could be a walkway to main building as rain is not unusual in the area, but this is definitely not a problem by any means, we loved it.

Very good

Liked: Friendly and caring staff, very good location: close to both coasts, cities but also to a lot of natureNice food in the restaurant, good bread served with soup (finally a place where there is bread better than toast :) )
Disliked: I liked everything, but i think the views and location just beg for there to be like a outside sitting area with maybe a fire pit to look at the mountainsSo maybe it is a suggestion for the future :)

Dog friendly hotel

Liked: They treated our little dog like a princess. Even letting her into areas dogs aren't normally allowed

Very good

Liked: I liked everything but the breakfast seemed to be a star below the rest. A hotel in Scotland should NEVER serve upbrick hard, dried out potato scones and fried eggs covered in black burnt bits. The proprietors, although very nice, appeared to be Spanish, so perhaps they don't understand tattie scones. They should remedy this - then ALL will be well :)
