Liked: A great place to meet up with the family. Very well looked after and we couldn't have asked for more help and flexibility as our plans changed. Augill castle hotel highlights it's perfectly imperfect design and it nails it. It's comfortable, casual and welcoming making you feel at home straight away. Would stay again and explore the countryside.

Liked: The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! It was an easy drive to many attractions, including Bowes Museum. I would highly recommend going there.
Disliked: The weather wasn't always the best.

Liked: Staff excellent. Bedroom, lounge, sitting, and other rooms were so well furnished in a period style. We loved it. The dining menu was terrific, set menu of 4-5 options for each course, but plenty to satisfy us. Food was great.
Disliked: Prefer a queen bed rather than double, but maybe that was an option we didn’t chose?

Awesome stay in an authentic...

Liked: everything. fantastic room. best bed and doona we have had in the last 6 weeks of travelling. and a shower that works well and is easy to operate. staff are fantastic and breakfast is good, but afternoon tea is awesome.
Disliked: nothing
