Cute inn, great location, cramped...

Liked: Great location, super cute ambience. The common areas are delightful. There are lovely fireplaces in the common areas and nice places to read, drink tea and relax, which we really appreciated after long cold days of exploring the city.
Disliked: The rooms are very very small. Much smaller than expected. There was very limited privacy between the bathroom and the bedroom...The flimsy sliding door and paper thin walls mean you can loudly hear every detail of what's going on in the bathroom, which is very awkward. The sink was also in the bedroom itself and not in the bathroom. I know a lot of places have this layout, but I've stayed at a lot of historic B&Bs and have never personally seen it before, so it felt weird to me. The whole room felt kind of cramped and uncomfortable due to the bathroom and sink situation.

Liked: Location was great! Love the common rooms (we had them to ourselves) Staff was friendly, helpful and bilingual.
Disliked: Room was hot but we could have opened the window and we are used to cold bedrooms. There was a fan.

We loved this place and...

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at JA. The location was perfect for walking to old town and around other areas of the city. The rooms were clean and cute - definitely small but plenty of room for the two of us. We are a queer/LGBTQ couple and felt safe and comfortable here. The crescents were the best we’ve ever had. We will be back!
Disliked: Had to pay for garage parking nearby - bit of a bummer.

Beautiful, welcoming, and cozy.

Liked: The upkeep and decor of the place is amazing. There are comfortable common spaces with interesting antiques to look all around. There is a delicious and ample breakfast each morning and food restrictions are accomodated. While not everything was dairy-free, there were sufficient choices for me and the staff was helpful about looking up ingredients for things that were not already specified.
Disliked: Nothing. Everything is as promised or better.
