Disliked: No freezer , microwave not working first day, washer quick to fill, five flights of steps , no help from staff (the staff barely speaks English) You have to pay $2 for a towel .. the bathrooms weren’t as clean , the beds are horrible , guests horrible , room small

Liked: - Spending Poutine night with the staff and getting to know other travelers- Very convenient location- Easy to ask for more storage space (esp. for cosplays)- Comfy common room- Super convenient checkout
Disliked: - Very rickety beds- Beds lacked bedside chargers; had to charge phone with power bank and put under pillow- Lockers were outside rooms, making it a pain to move items in and out of rooms- Bathrooms' smell was uncomfortable- Upper floor hallways and bathrooms were uncomfortably muggy, and dorm rooms too air conditioned- Dorm room had one drawn curtain and one blaring air conditioner, often dark - The hostel might have better reviews than it warrants because Poutine Night is free for five-star reviewers

Very worth the detour

Liked: Friendly staff, very quiet in the room. Wi-Fi is better on 3rd floor than anywhere else
Disliked: A/C in the room on 3rd floor, next to window but... bed in front of it and all sides covered so cold air not going in the room. And it was way too hot!!!

Liked: The expérience on itself, one of the best Auberge I have stayed in
Disliked: The a/c unit next to window BUT a bed in front of it so entire room was was too hot, unable to sleep

Exceptional

Liked: Everyone was super friendly and the kitchen was very nice, will deffinately use next time
Disliked: The outside smelled of sewage and the business across the street was blasting cooking smoke right at the entrance. The sewage i mean, it is what it is i guess thats kinda just the location. But the cooking smoke, the hostel should deffinately complain to the neighboring business cuz that is not ok. The spider webs could have been cleaned up a bit inside and the one window that was permanently open needs a screen to prevent bugs from coming in
