Normally fantastic, this time not...

Liked: Comfy beds, great bar and pool and I love the decor.
Disliked: For two to three days people’s dirty room service dishes sat outside their rooms in the hallway. First night no wifi (not the end of the world) but no tv either. And no power during the night which made it hard to use the bathroom. Housekeeping did a great job inside the rooms. The staff made the comment they were so quiet they had done stocktake early but the outside bins right at the entrance to the hotel were overflowing for two days and couldn’t be used

Liked: exceptional staff who went above and beyond when the room was not cleaned they gave complimentary drinks and food.
Disliked: room service clarity on service: apparently if the room has things lying around the bed or on the floor the cleaners are not permitted to clean fully they will only do bathroom and clean bins. This needs to be made clear to guests that they need to remove items /clothing and place it on a chair or somewhere away from beds for sheets to be changed on a daily basis.

Disliked: Room service trays left in hallways far far too long ( all day and over night). Rubbish bins at front door full and overflowing all weekend. Smokers area below steps so we had to walk through it to get to car park, Always smelt of cigarette smoke! Room cleaning a bit ordinary. Poor lighting in rooms, very dull! Path to Cricketers Arms ordinary and dangerous at night.
