The hotel lobby was excellent - very well decorated and modern. The Cannery restaurant was excellent as well. Our room was very nice, hardwood floors and a gorgeous glass doored walk in shower. The view wasn't great as we were in the back of the building but it was only overnight so not really a problem. The food and service were wonderful, we enjoyed a super lovely meal before attending the concert. The only negative thing was the parking garage, it was narrow, deep and scary. The little elevator to take you to the lobby was truly frightening and I wouldn't use it a second time, I used the stairs instead. Plus the cost, $25 for over night. I understand it's in the city but honestly that was way too costly, we were in what was classified as a Gold room so received a $20 credit to use at The Cannery, which didn't make up for the cost of parking!

Liked: The room was clean, cool and beautifully appointed.
Disliked: The parking garage was terrifying. The door was not set properly and made a horrible screeching sound when opening and closing.

We choose the Atlantica because we were headed to an event at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium and wanted to be within walking distance. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We liked the underground parking though it is a bit expensive on top of the room cost. We will certainly use the Atlantica again.

Liked: The room was a nice size. One bed was comfortable. However, the other bed was leaning towards the floor at the head of the bed. Location was great.
Disliked: Although it wasn't the fault of the hotel, when we arrived back to the hotel around 10:30 p.m. the hotel had no running water. Staff did not inform us of this issue. We found out from another patron as we were exiting the elevator. The water did return but we were already to check out. As well, we ate in the Cannery and did not find out until we were getting on the elevator to the underground parking that if you eat at the restaurant then parking was supposed to be free. Staff should be asking and giving out a voucher to those parking at the hotel.

Lovely Facility

Liked: Located within three minutes walk of the QE Hospital. No shuttle as stated on website. Very helpful staff who moved things around to allow us to stay in the same room after needing to stay some extra nights.

Liked: Bed very good. Location was downtown halifax
Disliked: No notice of payment for parking as it really pissed me off to try to basically tax people 25 per day for an item we were not informed of. Should have been a continental breakfast offered as hotel WAY over priced for what we received. Plus breakfast not served after 10 am...........this was idiotic and this will be the last time we use hotels for our stays as we will be using Air b and b's instead..........
