Atlantica Hotel Halifax

The hotel lobby was excellent - very well decorated and modern. The Cannery restaurant was excellent as well. Our room was very nice, hardwood floors and a gorgeous glass doored walk in shower. The view wasn't great as we were in the back of the building but it was only overnight so not really a problem. The food and service were wonderful, we enjoyed a super lovely meal before attending the concert. The only negative thing was the parking garage, it was narrow, deep and scary. The little elevator to take you to the lobby was truly frightening and I wouldn't use it a second time, I used the stairs instead. Plus the cost, $25 for over night. I understand it's in the city but honestly that was way too costly, we were in what was classified as a Gold room so received a $20 credit to use at The Cannery, which didn't make up for the cost of parking!

Liked: The room was clean, cool and beautifully appointed.
Disliked: The parking garage was terrifying. The door was not set properly and made a horrible screeching sound when opening and closing.

We choose the Atlantica because we were headed to an event at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium and wanted to be within walking distance. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We liked the underground parking though it is a bit expensive on top of the room cost. We will certainly use the Atlantica again.

Liked: 1. Parking was horrible. 2. Air conditioner in our room leaked water, covering the entire room. When I got up in the middle of the night i step in nothing but water. This made our suit cases and our clothes inside wet. After your staff cleaned up the water, the water was still seeping up through the flooring. This was a huge inconvenience. We should expect a full refund as this ruined our trip.

Liked: Excellent service from the staff at the fromt desk.The bed was comfortable. The location perfect for the reason of our stay.
