Stay at Dewey Block Hotels
Liked: I loved that there are so many things in walking distance that I never had to drive. I love that it was pet friendly. Unfortunately, hurricane Erin ruined our stay, but as far as the property it was great.. The beds were super comfy. I was happy that we were able to get in a little earlier since I was traveling with a senior dog.
Disliked: They're two pools but they're both very tiny. Our room had a little issue in the tile in the bathroom that seems to be mold. I alerted the manager. Other than that the staff was very accommodating.

HORRIBLE!!!

Disliked: I booked this trip through booking.com & regardless of having a confirmation number my reservation was cancelled for reasons that could not be explained. The hotel was unable to accommodate my spouse & I, ruining our one weekend a year getaway from kids.

Great location to the beach.
Liked: Nice room. Comfortable beds. Shower was great.
Disliked: They house clean every 3 days so you have to hunt down towels and toilet paper.

We made it work and...
Liked: Location, proximity to beach and restaurants/amenities. Dogs are welcome and we love bringing our pet with us when we travel. The full size fridge was a plus allowing us to bring food to make breakfast and lunch and keep drinks cold.
Disliked: The price was steep considering the quality of the room. My daughter slept on the pullout couch- the mattress was gross. We bought a mattress protector and bedding from the local Walmart. They don’t clean the rooms every day and since it’s a beach hotel there is a ton of sand that accumulates in the room. I purchased a broom and clorox wipes and cleaned up myself. The room wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived- there was hair in the bathroom and garbage under the fridge.

Liked: Short walking distance to beach and restaurants

Great location
Liked: The rooms were clean and mostly updated. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking Dewey Beach and that the walk to just about everything including the beach was very short.
Disliked: The pool was really cold. The trash can on the top balcony was overflowing by the last night we were there. The bathroom was a bit small and outdated. We could have used more surfaces or drawers in the bathroom for our stuff, but we made it work. We also could have used more places to hang towels besides the shower, like a few hooks on the door or wall
