Disapointing and not worth the...

Liked: Ocean view from most of the property is fantastic.
Disliked: It was clear at check in that booking on booking.com got me a worse room than a direct booking, my view was overlooking the extension. Direct booking guests get free use of pool, booking.com guests must pay. From the moment I booked I got a stream of emails telling me to book the resturant in advance, I would need to pay for leisure facilities on and on. None mentioned that there was a big event on one of the nights. This led to a huge queue of traffic for 2 solid hours accessing the hotel. This queue blocked me from exiting the hotel - I was forced to head to town and get a taxi to my evening meal. The hotels response we'll tell management. The car parking here is awfull, no where near enough spaces and the ones there are far too small.Breakfast was not worth the high cost, stale bread rolls, way past fresh cold cuts of meat, tinned oranges and tiny portions of cooked food. I only ate on one day and headed to one of the many quality cafe's in town for my other breakfast.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay in the Atlantic hotel, room war really nice with lovely sea view.
Disliked: We reviewed the restaurant menu on line, mentally knew wat we were going to order. Booked a table, but when we had menu it was totally different food. Was very disappointed. We had to choose alternatives, we enjoyed them. But overall disappointed online menu not updated.

Superb

Liked: The staff were helpful and polite. The spa facilities were decent for the money - clean, warm indoor pool and jacuzzi. The views from every side of the hotel were amazing. The breakfast was decent with a good speed of service. The option to park early on checkin day, and after checkout, was very handy. The location gave a good balance between proximity to town and some quieter, less built up areas. Dinner at the restaurant was all right, not the best food in town, but decent value for money. The room cleaning service was good - carpet hoovered every day and replacement water etc.
Disliked: The lift was out of service multiple times each day, and the unplanned walk up to the third floor wasn't much fun after trekking back up the hill to the hotel! The main stairwell in particular was uncomfortably warm in the heat. The shower in our room did not have very good pressure, but was workable.
