Faded glory that didn’t live...
Liked: We liked the location of the property, in a park setting with trees and birds outside the balcony overlooking a lake. It was a break from traffic and noise of the surrounding city.
Disliked: The property is dated and a little drab. The first night upon check-in at 10pm, we were given a room that had not been cleaned. It had no toilet paper, soaps, coffee, or telephone. We noticed that the bed sheet were on sideways and remade the bed ourselves. The carpet was dirty, feathers and rhinestones were stuck to it. The bathroom floors had hair all over them. We were too exhausted from a delayed flight from CA to protest more, but then couldn’t sleep due to the noise the wall vent was making. At 5am we demanded a room change and switched to a clean room with all the usual amenities. Toilet paper, yay!! We asked to have a manager call us, but no one ever did. The second room had lumpy and leaning mattresses, but it was survivable. Upon check-out four days later, we were offered a free breakfast 10minutes before the kitchen closed to make up for the terrible first night. We skipped that because it didn’t seem fair to the kitchen staff and we needed to catch our return flight back to CA.
