Disliked: Where to start!Upon arrival at around 3pm, our room was not ready for us to move into. The gentleman I met at reception (if you can call it that) said that it needed to still be vacuumed & he would be down soon. While sitting out the front of the room, one of the visitors (who I can only presume is a long-term resident now) said that she would vacuum for us. We agreed, as we actually thought she must've been one of the cleaners!Inside the room, although tidy (ish) was old & dated. The microwave was covered in outer rust. The refrigerator wasn't even turned on. We were unable to even make ourselves a cup of coffee or tea, as there was no milk (not that I probably would've wanted too anyway).There are definite signs of mould in the bathroom. The curtains were old, dirty & torn.When trying to leave to room to head to our destination on Thursday afternoon, we were unable to even lock our room. We had to walk down to reception to see the gentleman about locking our room up! He came down, & gave it 2 tries, before finally being able to lock it. Apparently, it's old & needs replacing. We slept on top of the bedding, too scared to pull the sheets back.The colourful characters that clearly reside at The Aspley Motor Inn, left us concerned. Unsure if one resident was intoxicated or not, but myself & my family certainly didn't feel comfortable being outside or leaving our door open.The pictures on the Booking.com website DO NOT REFLECT the state of the actual accommodation. There is no pool or outdoor seating area, as soon in the photos. Nor do the rooms look neat, tidy & cosy. We absolutely will never stay again. And just hope that other travellers seeing this, will do the same.

Liked: location and access were great. The place was tidy and clean
Disliked: I woke to having no power in the morning. The lights were working but no power to the outlets. the fridge was warm so it had gone out earlier in the night. A coffee in the morning would have been nice and having cold food in the fridge would have been good too. Clearly an infrastructure issue in the building. Wall light was hanging out of the wall. Not safe for unknowing customers.

Disliked: Room was not as described Room wasn't ready when we arrived Told there was a pool but wasn't due to renovations Not much space to get out of with the car due to temporary fencing Room was not worth the money

Nice place good price

Liked: It was a clean room and they are doing renovations .the have removed the pool
Disliked: The reception was closed so no one greeted us and no staff at all on site. But I put this down to the renovations . We made a phone call and were told our room number so check in was easy
