Definitely not the Ritz but...

Liked: Close to transport, a ten minute walk from the supermarket, a huge bed, large room, well equipped shared kitchen, plenty of street parking.
Disliked: Poor maintenance of the facilities - the bathroom door in my room was jammed open (which would have been awkward if I had guests or was travelling with a friend or partner), the pillows smelt really awful, the bathroom floor felt sticky and smelt slightly of urine. I asked if an early check-in was possible and was bluntly told check-in is at 2pm, no ifs buts or maybes. Also, only one light in the room - no bedside lamp which was a little disappointing. Overall, it felt like budget student accommodation.

Last minute, but never again.

Liked: The fact that there was a small, shared balcony in the building (not from the rooms), and the bed was comfy, as well as having the small smart TV.
Disliked: Although I booked this very last minute (failed solo camping trip), this was quite a bad stay. I called in advance to check if they had rooms, and the lady on the phone was nice (however, did not seem that she was in Australia and that she was reading a script). I proceeded to book through Booking.com and said that I'll receive the check in information once I provide my details, but I didn't and had to call again which took some time for her to 'verify' and 'resend'. The building was musky, and my room even more so. There was also mould in the bathroom, and some small cockroaches in the room... I only used the kettle, which seemed extremely old and from Kmart. There is a "parking" area in a very tight space (no gate, just drive in from the street, and it's covered on top by the building next door), but it had about 6 spaces and were all taken, but street parking is easy since it's a quiet, suburban area. Again, although I booked an hour before arriving, it was certainly not worth the $114 that I paid for the night (during winter too).

Liked: The cockroaches were a nice touch.
Disliked: The cockroaches, the filthy hallways / carpet. The unsavoury guests that are clearly all on drugs and fighting with each other.
