Close to where needed to...
Liked: Close to Hospital. Parking. Canadian Honker
Disliked: Staff was some of the rudest people we have encountered. Met 4 different staff. Asked for 2 beds, just a NO, didn't look just NO. Room sofa bed, was torn/ripped all across the from seated area. But we had to use because needed that as a place to sit/sleep. Before checkout card was deactivated before we left she said that is not our issue, luckily I was still in room. But just having surgery getting up out of bed was a huge problem for me each time, they left to get supper. When we checked out they said they must have the key......we had on , they said then we need to GET the other. I let mine in the room. GET IT ...well can't cause I can't get in. just RUDE !!!

I would not stay here...
Liked: The location was very convenient for our early morning report time at the St. Mary's hospital across the street. We were grateful to not have to deal with parking at 5 am and could just walk across the street.
Disliked: We stayed for 2 nights, and around 9:30 pm, after my mother took a shower, the tub was not draining. We let it sit as we got ready for bed and noticed around 10 pm that it was still not draining so I could not shower. We called the front desk, who dropped off a plunger for us (to fix ourselves). One pump of the plunger and yellow and brown matter started coming up through the tub drain, including more water that smelled foul. We told the front desk, and they moved us to a non-smoking room down the hall, which reaked of cigarette smoke on the towels and shower curtains. It was also a joining room, with only one single, thin door so we could hear the couple next to us seemingly wrapping presents with cellophane until just before midnight. With an early rise, we decided to just deal with the smell by closing the bathroom door with most linens in there. In the morning, I informed the front desk associate (who ironically had an unlit cigarette in his hands at the front desk) of the smoke smell, and how we were in town for my mother's stage 4 lung cancer procedure. He had nothing better to say than "oh okay, you're all set for checkout then?". This hotel was incredibly convenient for our unique early morning, but I have never had a worse customer service experience. I've stayed at dilapidated roadside motels during cross-country road trips in the middle of nowhere that had more supportive staff than this hotel. When we checked in, the front desk person couldn't have been more than 17 years old and didn't know the most essential things about the facility. We asked for a plate to eat our take out with, and he recommended that we go to the grocery store. I found the continental breakfast room, and they had styrofoam plates available. Quite a simple thing to know, in my opinion and wasn't a big deal until we dealt with the other inconsiderate employees.
