Ashworth By The Sea Hotel

Our room was clean; the bed was comfortable; we couldn't have asked for better for our overnight stay. Oh and the rooftop bar was a plus, also with live entertainment!

Liked: Check in convenience; valet parking; room was clean.
Disliked: None.

This was our first stay at the hotel. When we checked in (around 6 pm) the young lady that was there barely made eye contact with me. She seemed annoyed to answer my questions and acted as though I was a bother. It was a very awkward check in. However, the morning and day staff were wonderful and very helpful! I was surprised that the downstairs bar closed at 11 on a Saturday night. For the price we pay to stay there, you’d think we could have a place to unwind until at least 1 AM. The other place you offer was closed so we had no other options than to leave the Ashworth in miserable weather if we wanted to keep visiting with our friends.

Stay away from this place - it's ridiculously overpriced flea bag!

Liked: That I didn't have to drive three hours to get home at midnight.
Disliked: Everything; way overpriced; nearly four hundred dollars with all the extra taxes and fees. The room was small and dirty. The sheets stunk of bleach - it was sickening. The furniture was old and dirty; big old cigarette burn in the chair and table. We could hear the people talking in other rooms through the walls. There was no information in the room about the area, the hotel, anything!

We were to stay 2 nights but left after the first night. It really is not a nice hotel; dirty rooms; bed was very hard; had flat pillows and no extra pillows or blankets. Front desk did not even ask why we were leaving; please don't waste your money at this place.

Disliked: Many things; room was not clean; bed was so hard we both had back pain and the pillows were very flat.
