Exceptional

Great breakfast.

Liked: Great breakfast, smart, clean room. Surroundings are beautiful, though some of the buildings are a little unsympathetic.
Disliked: Bar meals can only be eaten / ordered to a limited area - would have been nice to have sat outside but apparently, despite not being particularly busy, this was not possible.

Conference Centre Review

Liked: Grounds are absolutely amazing, and it gives you the opportunity to unwind, relax, and recharge.
Disliked: Breakfast was a joke. No one to show you where to sit. Food ran out, and it was difficult to get staff attention. Bringing tea pot over without a cup, sugar, or milk.

Liked: Breakfast okay. Excellent shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Set in lovely grounds.
Disliked: Room was very hot and difficult to get it to cool down - AC didn't seem to work, so had to open a window in the end. Coffee wasn't great. Room small for a couple.

Liked: The outside, good for a walk..
Disliked: The room, too small, bed up against the wall. A uni room would be bigger. Breakfast, we had to find it, no greeting, also no milk or apple juice, had to wait for breakfast to fill up the food. Very short staffed. A conference was there, not for couples only there for a weekend break. Depending on why you were there to appreciate it. Single rooms for couples just didn't work for us. May be different in the main building. Had to walk a long way to our room. Won't be going again

Liked: The house and grounds were beautiful. Sat outside on patio by bar till 11pm as it was warm, very nice evening had
Disliked: The rooms were like university halls and a bit box room’ish. The restaurant had two things left on menu and had to have bar food which is what we didnt want to do . Bar food was good tbf

Hotel and facilities were fine...

Disliked: Restaurant staff seemed put out that I hadn't booked a table even though the room was empty, then waited until I was seated to let me know that their was no Cod leftThere was nothing else on the menu I liked so I went to the bar for food and the Veg Chilli took 40mins to arrive and it came without the Nachos that were advertised as part of the meal - just poor service all round
