Liked: The property was well situated on the beach. Parking is free and they provide free umbrellas and chairs for their guests. It has three bars and a couple of restaurants. It’s dog friendly.
Disliked: Overall, there were several things about our stay that did not go well. The first was we paid for an ocean view with balcony. The balcony was so tiny. You could not even fit one chair out there. It wasn’t even a balcony. Not only that even though we could see the ocean, the balcony was situated over top of all of the industrial HVAC equipment for the hotel so it was super loud and the view was ugly. Very unhappy about that. The next was the visit to the Wahoo Beach bar. Half the people there did not speak English very well, and the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes to get our first drink, when our food came, we did not have silverware. We did not have napkins. We did not have condiments or salt and pepper. We asked for all of these things and by the time my husband received the condiments he had asked for when he first ordered his item, his food was cold. He asked the server for mayonnaise, and the guy brought him a menu. He could not understand us at all. We waited forever for our second round of drinks as well, and then when we asked for the check, he took the drinks away from us. Zero stars on the service. The whole first floor was terribly hot, but at least our room was cool. For it being a pet friendly hotel there was absolutely nowhere for the pets to go to the bathroom. There were rocks and high grasses everywhere, no patches of grass for your pet to go to the bathroom so what are they supposed to do? If you advertise as pet friendly, the least you could do is have a small patch of grass somewhere. My dog ended up getting so frustrated. He went on the hot pavement. Also, we ordered two drinks at the inside bar and they were really small and cost us $30. Totally not worth the money. We will never return to this hotel.
