Disappointing would not go back...

Liked: Car park and a pub over the road. Bus stops were quite close to and from Cambridge
Disliked: It was too hot. Top floor and only a small fan. No one there until 3pm and then gone at 9.30pm dirty scruffy staircases lamps not cleaned. Lot of dust. We asked for milk coffee biscuits etc and toilet roll and the receptionist said she would leave them outside our room this was asked for at approx 6pm when we got back after our evening out at 10.20pm no one was around. No coffee milk or toilet paper!!! Not impressed could’t even have a coffee before bed. The only person that was helpful was the lady who served breakfast. Breakfast was poor. Very nice lady. Very tired looking hotel

Pleasant

Liked: big free parking, good breakfast, decent bedding, nice walk to city center, surrounded by a good choice of restaurant and shop
Disliked: cleanliness (dirt on night stand, walls dirty…). Horrible smell in room (pee on carpet was my guess). Old broken and mended 50ies furniture (it’s fun to have the vibes of an old hotel but here it’s just old and mended).

Terriblely bad

Liked: The English breakfast was good and the women who served the breakfast were kind.
Disliked: We had room no. 11. Firstly, the flush water to the toilet has very low pressure and even a little bit toilet papper couldn’t be flushed away with full flush. At the end we used the kettle to pour water. In the morning the women who served the breakfast let us to borrow the toilet in room no.10 which was free.The windows couldn’t stay open. We put water bottles between to keep the windows open.The room was extremely warm. We could hardly breath and sleep whole night. In the morning it’s rainy and around 19 ˚C outside, but inside the room it feels like 36˚C. Our suitcase were laid on the floor, the surfaces were warm and feels like that they have stayed in sunshine many hours. We’re not sure if it’s because of the kitchen underneath. This room condition is unacceptable and not suitable to use as a hotel room! We didn’t book the room at last minute and booked the hotel long time before instead.My wife was getting sick in the morning and is still sick. Luckily it’s the last night of this trip and we could stay a couple of hours at the restaurant nearby before we headed to the airport.We have booked different kinds of hotels in many countries during many years via Booking. This is the first time we write a claim. We hope indeed nobody will have this terrible experience as we had.
