Cheap and basic. Seems good...

Liked: Clean, spacious room with two double beds (one comfy, one not) and a settee. No disturbance from passing trains, traffic or other guests. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: More furniture would have been helpful eg no bathroom cabinet or shelf in the bathroom so my toilet bag was on the floor, the coffee making facilities was a kettle standing on the only chair which had a broken leg (it was replaced after I took it to the manager in their nearby restaurant), the mirror was at waist height; the dressing table had been moved to put the TV on. It would have been nice to have a table and fridge. The reception desk was only accessible when the restaurant was open in the evening nb.NO breakfast service. It would have been nice to have a table and a fridge.

Great location, friendly staff and...

Liked: Perfect location. The rooms being directly accessed from the car park is a nice aspect, and the rooms themselves are a really good size. It feels a bit Motel like in terms of set up. Check in was very easy and the staff friendly.
Disliked: Unfortunately the rooms are not well sound proofed. I could hear people walking past and in the car park, and people talking in adjoining rooms. Every time someone in the next room turned over in their bed I could hear the bed frame knock against the wall. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and I have to say that this was one of the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. There was also some mould/damp evident above the shower, and the overhead lights in the room didn’t work.

Liked: Location is good.Rooms are big with big en-suites.
Disliked: The ensuites don’t have any exhaust/vent. The water from having a shower somehow seep onto the floor despite it having a bath tub. It is very hard to get rid of the water.

Disliked: There is no air conditioning as advertised and the rooms only have windows on one side

Better experience previously

Liked: Good price, lovely staff and the food always smells fantastic. Good supply of hot water in the shower and tea, coffee, etc. Great location for our need and also good parking. Last time we stayed we had Room 1, which had just apparently been refurbished and was lovely.
Disliked: The mastic in the shower looked mouldy, the bathroom sink looked cracked, one of the bedside lights didn't have a light bulb, mattresses soft and lumpy. And I don't understand why the light switches are behind the headboards? Hopefully all of the rooms will be refurbished to the level of Room 1.
