Lovely stay

Liked: The staff were all amazing ,accommodating all my requests. Natasha the Reception Manager is a real star who did everything possible to make my stay not only enjoyable but extremely comfortable. She made sure that I was given a lovely furnished room on the ground floor with a bath.The bed was very comfortable and I was able to have a good sleep each nightBreakfast was lovely with a huge choice. The Manager at Breakfast deserves a mention as he went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed when I became ill ensuring that that my cooked breakfast was sent to my room ,even making my toast and filter coffee for me himself.I ate in the restaurant which had a good choice and was reasonable priced. The food was tastefully preparedThe spa facilities were excellent and it was a shame that the Jacuzzi was out of action awaiting spare partsAll in all I had a wonderful 4 day stay at the hotel and would recommend to others and would return again
Disliked: I could not fault the hotelHowever, it would have been nice to have an egg station at breakfast making fresh omelettes etc

Exceptional

Don’t bother with the breakfast

Liked: Its location and the bar and wine very good. It was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom.
Disliked: The breakfast was awful. Dried up rubber eggs, dry overcooked bacon, and a crunchy overcooked sausage all tepid on a slightly warm plate. Half the things on the menu were not available, there was no coffee and no breakfast tea. So not worth the extra we paid

Pleasant

Liked: Lobby was really nice but the rest of the hotel was tired .
Disliked: The room wasn't ready so we had to wait. Also the air conditioning was working. The place overall was just tired.

Passable

Liked: Pretty rooms for one night.
Disliked: Bad breakfast. Starts at 730 am and doesnt meet requirements for the people attending it. Long waiting times.

Comfortable rooms and a great...

Liked: Comfortable and clean room, bar food good and a great breakfast.
Disliked: Shower could have been more powerful.

Relaxing stay.

Liked: The room was lovely, clean spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was well run and plentiful. It's very tasty. We took our little dog, and the hotel have thought of everything to make both us and the dog happy . All explained to us and a goody bag provided for her.The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, Julie and Natasha, on the reception were both amazing and so lovely. The lady that was cleaning the public areas was also really friendly and so nice. All were professional but went the extra mile, with smiles and care.
Disliked: There was nothing I disliked only having to leave to come home.!

Good

Liked: Staff made our stay extra special by helping us celebrate our anniversary.
Disliked: The Jacuzzi was out of order for repairs.

Very convenient for euro tunnel...

Liked: Great location, 15 min drive to the channel tunnel the next morning (albeit very early). The restaurant looked good but we had dinner in the bar lounge, which was ideal and the food was great. The room was comfortable with tea/coffee and a kettle.We parked onsite, not a huge car park but we found a space so all good.
