Liked: It hasn't changed in over 20 years
Disliked: No lifts, difficult to find one's way around the old house

Mixed feelings

Liked: Beautiful buildings, ( although in need of better care), good size room. Clean. Lovely surroundings to have a walk. Nice spa ( no sauna). Lovely staff, but a bit cold.
Disliked: Restaurant was a big disappointment. Pricey food, small portions and not particularly tasty. Staff desperately need more training. If you want to get 12.5% service charge, please provide service worth paying for. Breakfast limited and scrambled eggs were awful. Shower pressure non existent.

Pure perfection, just a magical...

Liked: From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very special. The staff were super attentive and nothing was too much bother. We weren't demanding guests and everyone was so friendly. This was our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a Master Suite. The restaurant food was delicious. Overall, we were blown away.
Disliked: I would have liked a sauna or steam room in the Country Club to go with the hot tub and pool. That's about the only disappointment I have, but other than that, the place is faultless.

Relaxing over night stay with...

Liked: Food excellent. Very comfortable large bed. Grounds are beautiful and the spa was lovely. Great place to relax.
Disliked: Nothing

I think I would stay...

Liked: Staff very friendly but when we arrived we had to queue for a long time to obtain keys for our rooms. But staff very helpful just tge inconvenience of having to wait. Perhaps due to computer break down .But once I explained after a long journey I didn’t wish to queue for half an hour they were very helpful and accommodating but stay improved and lively spa .
Disliked: Having to queue at reception with screaming children and tired from journey but sorted out in the end.

Liked: Wonderful building in a spacious park. The spa facilities were so beneficial and relaxing. Fine dining in the restaurant .The furniture in the reception rooms were a bit faded grandeur so could do with a refresh in style.
Disliked: The drinks at the bar were too expensive and the lack of staff entailed a wait for service. The range of cocktails was limited.
