We'd recommend Ash Grove House...

Liked: We spent three nights at the Ash Grove House in a very comfortable, clean two-bedroom suite; very private. We ordered our breakfasts the evening before and picked the time we wanted to eat so the meal was always prepared promptly, and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Angela, the owner, who joined in conversations when she wasnt busy, marked up maps for driving suggestions to Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher, and gave recommendations for things to see and do in Galway each day. Though we had a car, we walked everywhere: along the River Corrib, to the Farmers' Market, and to restaurants and pubs downtown, never feeling unsafe.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like about our stay.
