Liked: I stayed on Saturday night as I did the Marathon on Sunday. I guess the price of the room was so high (double the usual price) purely because of the Marathon. I was upgraded to a double room which was nice and unexpected. Conveniently located on Otley Road about a mile from the stadium. Near shops and amenities and opposite a BP station in a really pleasant area. Friendly welcome from Reception. The room was very clean and well set out with a nice ensuite. I was able to leave my car in the car park while I did the run.
Disliked: The weather was warm, the room was rather hot and the bathroom radiator was on constantly. I had to keep the window wide open so with the heat and the noise from the constant flow of traffic until the early hours, sleeping was a challenge! Some cooling system or fan would be beneficial for sure. The mattress was rather hard for my liking but that's personal taste. These things would be easy to overlook at their normal reasonable room rate and overall I enjoyed my stay.
