Ruined birthday weekend away with...
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Dirty bathroom damp room no toiletries TV not working seat in bathroom leg broken all bathroom was disgusting dirty asked them to clean wasn't done till second night at 11pm gone off milk in teacup with flies in it as well cos walls were so wet wallpaper was hanging off was told to complain to booking .com which I have done when got in at 10pmsunday all steps to hotel had drunk men and women on them all men just in their pants and smoking rollies tabacco ect shower over bath the tiles had big clumps of dead human hair stuck to them in 3places

Awful
Liked: If I am honest there wasn't anything in the hotel that me or the other 3 people I went with liked. Staff seemed friendly but didn't ask us if there was anything we need or if we are comfortable or happy.
Disliked: The room, our window was broken, the window surround was cracked and crumbling, the view outside was just of a lot of rubbish that had been dumped, the hotel was dirty and smelled of damp everywhere, hotel staff never seemed to be at the reception when we needed them, our TV in our room didn't work, our room door didn't close properly unless we lifted it up and slammed it shut, there seemed to be human excrement on the bathroom wall, wallpaper hanging off in the hallway, reception area very unclean with dirty smelly blankets on the floor, reception staff appeared to be lacking hygiene. Locked out of the hotel for over 10 minute when we wanted to check in because no one was at reception and no one answered the phones until a child saw us outside and informed someone. Room wasn't tented to in 3 days, no fresh clean towels, or toilet paper, no ironing facilities although online it states that there was. We are requesting a full refund.

Liked: Comfortable clean beds . Great location
Disliked: Little run down but for the price I can’t complain

Liked: Location was great, could see Blackpool tower out of the window, staff friendly
Disliked: Smell in the corridor, toilet seat was too small, shower wasn't the best, rubbish in the small car park.

Disliked: Bed very hard had to sleep on quilt for softness when you turned tap it turned as well toilet seat was loose I had tighten screw up to stop it moving

We booked The Arncliff Hotel...
Liked: We booked The Arncliff Hotel well in advance and paid in full, as myself and two other families were travelling to Blackpool for the Hip Hop World Championships. When we arrived, the hotel was closed. A cleaner came out and told us there were no bookings. I then called the manager, who confirmed the hotel was closed and not accepting guests, despite Booking.com still taking bookings and payments.None of us were informed in advance. We were left stranded in Blackpool, without accommodation, after travelling for a major international event. To make matters worse, none of us have received a refund, nor any communication from the hotel or Booking.com. No apology was offered to me or the other families in my group.This has been an extremely stressful and unacceptable experience. Guests should never be charged for a hotel that is closed and refusing to provide refunds or even basic communication. Avoid at all costs.
