The feeling is closer to...
Liked: the central location, the direct view to Empire State building. Good connection to all Manhattan.
Disliked: While a few meters away from 5th Ave, the hotel itself is in an area of Korean restaurants and all you can eat barbecues which drives a very young crowd, closer to what would be expected from a backpacker's hostel, at some point rather questionable. Also, the pictures on the site maybe are from the other Arlo, the one in Soho, newly designed. This one, in NoMad, is nothing designish. Extremely busy at the reception, evidently understaffed. The receptionists did their best to manage the situation but the line of tourists just got longer. We came back for the passport that we forgot in the safe and it took one hour to inform us that it is not there anymore. (we were told that the room service and the hotel manager went to check personally). We panicked and when about to call the police to report a stolen passport the receptionist went by herself and found it in the safe, where it was supposed to be. So basically they didn't care.

Terrible, definitely would not stay...
Liked: Rooftop view / area is amazing and is the only thing saving this place from getting a 1/10
Disliked: I had traveled here with my girlfriend for a nice city getaway for our anniversary. Apr 3 - Apr 4 The room is extremely small. Its the size of the bed plus 2 ft on each side. Absolutely no way a couple can stay here and be comfortable. the closet is extremely small as well. I was tripping over the only 3 small bags we brought everytime i walked around the room. The staff apparently cant bring you anything to your room after 9PM due to the "coronavirus" like you cant catch corona before 9pm and its only able to be spread after 9pm or something. Which is ridiculous and probably a made up rule because I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in midtown a month prior and they had no issue bringing anything to the room at any time. So on top of the tiny space, you have to get up and get dressed at midnight and wait 15+ minutes for the elevator just to go grab whatever it is you need from the lobby and go back and wait some more time for the elevator to get back to your room. Nothing extravagant and absolutely nothing here makes this place worth paying 200$ a night for. Also im pretty sure the water bottle in the room that was complimentary was already opened. Terrible experience, would not stay here or recommend staying here to anyone I know.

Didn't get the view I...
Liked: Loved the location and close to all the shopping. The front desk & security was nice and helpful, but probably my favorite thing was that I could cast my phone & laptop to the TV. As an avid anime watcher I need this to watch my anime and many hotels lack this feature.
Disliked: A lot smaller than expected judging from pictures. Rooftop bar was closed though we were told that it would be open 9-3pm. Missing wash cloths in my room. Was expecting a city view and all I could see out my window was two buildings blocking the city.
