Liked: Very friendly staff especially when I arrived in the early hours of the morning. Modern bathroom, very comfortable bed and spacious room. The breakfast at the restaurant was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Tolerable, but wouldn't stay here...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and quick to address the issues I raised. The location was perfect and close to all of the city's attractions.
Disliked: The room was really dark and damp and overall a depressing place to be in for several days.

Polished & Professional

Liked: Arlo Chicago is absolutely fantastic! The location couldn’t be better—right on Michigan Avenue, just steps from Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago. The hotel itself feels stylish and upscale, with rooms that blend sleek modern design with comfort. The high-pressure shower was a standout luxury, and the staff made the experience truly special with their warm, attentive service. I’ll gladly stay here again on my next visit to Chicago.

Beware of hidden fees

Liked: Good location
Disliked: They charge an “urban fee” - almost $30 per day. It doesn’t get you anything (includes things like free water on arrival, wifi, and coffee machine in the room, which already is included). It’s essentially a hidden fee. They call it “urban” thinking that the customer is going to consider it a city fee, like the ones in European cities. When I asked the reception about it and told them this is essentially a hidden fee the receptionist’s response was “yes mam”

Bad

Disliked: The hotel did not change my sheets, I was forced to sleep in a bed with blood all over the sheets until I saw reception the next day and had to specifically ask for the sheets to be changed. In addition, the hotel has not adhered to the advertised terms of my booking in which $15 credit was to be applied toward food/ beverage daily. More than one week from leaving the hotel this has not been resolved and the hotel has not applied the advertised refund despite my repeated request. Very disappointing experience.
