Liked: I love this place. The gardens, flowers, pool, layout, library, designs of the rooms, good staff, great Manhattans in the bar, good food, tea in the library in the afternoon... books, art. old movies from former guests, family connection to founder

Liked: The setting was wonderful. Beautiful gardens. The most caring staff I have ever encountered. Tea time everyday was fun and delicious. Top notch jewel of a place.

l This was supposed to be a top notch hotel. The grounds are, indeed, beautiful, but my room (107) smelled so musty I spent as little time as possible in it. Other parts of the hotel did not smell so...
