Aris Grand Place Hotel

Great hotel for those exploring...

Liked: The staff were amazing in what seemed to be a very busy weekend with the Spa Grand Prix on. The hotel itself is perfect for a place to base yourself for exploring. As it overlooks a busy street it is not so good for sleep as the street noise (pedestrians only) particularly on a Saturday night is reasonably annoying. Sunday night was not so bad but the garbage collection occurs Monday morning quite early. All in all nothing we couldn't handle. The breakfast is not a buffet per se and is in a sectioned off area of a cafe which I can imagine when really busy would involve some wait time. 0900h on Monday morning we did not wait. The location of the hotel was brilliant - 5 min walk Brussels Central station and close to Grand Place. The aircon in July worked perfectly. I did find this area of Brussels to be a bit over done and super touristy but not in a good way. Regardless the hotel was great for our needs and the staff were amazing!
Disliked: Noise from street, people yelling at all times of the night-this was Saturday night/Sunday morning. Maybe it's not so bad during the week.Please get fridges for the rooms. Although you were great and stored some items in your fridge having our own fridge would have been better.

Disliked: Don’t stay here if you want to be able to sleep. Street and construction noise constantly, we booked a new hotel after 1 night.
