Poor
Liked: Very bad welcome from the manager who, without saying hello, immediately asked us to come and pay her!! The large bed is in the dining room, so there is very little space to move around. The bathroom is tiny and the woodwork is moldy. We had put two small beds together and the same day the manager left us a message to put them back where they were originally!! When we went for a walk, the manager allowed herself to open the windows while our things were inside unattended. The floor next to the large bed was soaked and our phone charger went into safety mode because of this! When we left, there was no kindness except to ask us if we had put the two small ones back in place! We do not recommend this hotel!!

Gardens Short Stay
Liked: Motel was in excellent location to explore Christchurch. Close to Botanic Gardens, Westfield & main roads. Cooking facilities helped save money on eating out. It was warm & comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful.
Disliked: There is no rangehood over stove. Needed to open windows. There is no extractor fan in the bathroom. No visible smoke detectors sighted. Unit a bit dated. It was functional for our family.
