Exceptional hotel, great value

Liked: Great staff on reception who helped us with some last minute changes that we had to make. Both the Waratah and Areca hotels are exceptionally well presented and excellent value.
Disliked: Nothing

A quality choice in Launceston

Liked: The rooms are well appointed and are generous in size. The views from the rooms are excellent as the hotel is perched on a hill. There is a large shower head, and plenty of hot water. The WiFi is consistent. The bed linen is good quality. There are plenty of car park spaces (I parked under cover, under the building, which was easy to access).
Disliked: The mattress was a little soft for me, but that is a personal choice.There is a central atrium, which is double height, where there is a common seating area. Unfortunately, all the finishes in this area are hard surfaces, so the sound reverberates and travels to the rooms. I am not sure if the noise source was other visitors or the cleaners talking loudly and vacuuming, but on a Sunday morning it would be reasonable to allow visitors staying in the hotel some quiet in the morning.

Disliked: Very limiter facilities for own breakfast. Just a kettle and small fridge.
