Comfortable and enjoyable

Liked: Possibly because the B&B is attached to a café, the food was excellent, with good vegan options.
Disliked: It's another ghost B&B, in that it's unstaffed and you self-check-in.

A pleasant break.

Liked: The staff at breakfast and lunch were welcoming and good humoured and the food served was of great quality. I was very glad to be staying in a property that was willing to participate in the Stonehaven Folk Festival. The use of the cafe generated high praise from festival participants.
Disliked: The room really needs a replacement toilet seat, the one in place is flimsy and potentially dangerous; it fell off the first time I tried to use it, a clip on the fitting hadn’t been secured. It would have been nice if there had been someone to whom I could have conveyed this message in person; I had the impression that this wasn’t the responsibility of the breakfast waiting staff.

Absolutely incredible Bed & Breakfast.

Liked: I am sure we had the best room in the building. Absolutely phenomenal view from our window seat. I fell in love with this room. Doesn’t even feel real! Check in was easy. The sitting room was lovely, my son and I played a couple rounds of chess in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the “breakfast post” concept. The barista who served us was sweet as could be. Not a single negative thing about this place!
Disliked: The seagulls haha they’re so noisy but those can’t be controlled obviously

Excellent few nights in Stonehaven

Liked: Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is splendid but the clincher is the staff who were so welcoming and efficient.
Disliked: Nowt

Great location, sea view, quiet.

Liked: Good location with a comfortable bed and a sea view.
Disliked: I wasn't too happy with the breakfast system. We had to choose the day before which breakfast option we would prefer the next morning. We had just arrived from a long journey, shifting lots of luggage and on several trains - it seemed difficult to turn my mind to the subject of what I would want for breakfast the following day. I just wanted to drop the luggage and go exploring.Also, it seemed to me that the meat-based and fried breakfast options were more substantial than the healthier options. This is something I've come across before. Choosing healthier options doesn't mean people are trying to lose weight and want a lighter meal - they can have a robust appetite and want plenty of healthy, delicious nosh, they just don't want meat-based or fried foods. I tried both healthier options during our stay and found them to leave me wanting more.
