Liked: The breakfast was a perfect score but the facility is a bit run down
Disliked: The indoor pool was open but my kids had burning eyes from the pool being over chlorinated even with goggles. The furniture from lobby and room were stained. And sheets were not replaced for the next night and so we checked out early

Exceptional

Liked: Great rates, very nice room. The breakfast was really nice and included hot foods. This hotel was nicer than the Ramada we stayed in the previous week.

Absolutely NOT

Liked: The location was in the right area, and it was easy to find.
Disliked: The staff were just there not helpful at all. When checking in, I asked to make sure that the room had the pull out couch as that's where my son would be sleeping. He said it did, and he failed to tell me there would be no sheets or extra pillows in the room. There were 3 of us in the room and only 2 towels. What's the point of putting the number of people when, as the guest, i have to walk down to the desk because what was supposed to be there isn't? The room smelled like mold, and the curtains had moldy spots on them. My son was excited about the pool, but when we went in, the pool was so nasty that it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. There were literally clumps of hair floating. In the hot tub, there were dead roaches floating. It was disgusting. The hot breakfast was OK however I was gonna get some toast and maybe some yogurt and when walking over to th3 side with the cold food there were so many nats and only thing there was was expired yogurt. When I asked the guy working there (who was sitting on the couch looking annoyed and like he'd was homeless, which included a stench) if they had any forks as they were empty he just ignored me. I definitely would not stay here again.

Liked: Location was great, easy to find off the highway. Room was clean, set up was nice. Evening desk attendant (female) was very kind and pleasant to speak with.
Disliked: Hot tub was out of order, no hair conditioner available as they were out of it. I was not happy at all with the person working the desk at 11 a.m. check out. I had left a $60 cash deposit with him the day before when I checked in and at checkout, he did have it to return to me, but I felt he was suspicious of how I left the room as he didn't say anything to me but took my card key and went to the elevator to check the room himself and left us waiting while he went to the third floor. Never in my entire life have I had someone physically go to the room before letting me check out to get my deposit back. He had a radio in his hand so I'm not sure why he didn't call the housekeeper on that floor to check it if he suspected anything instead of just walking off towards the elevator. I'm a 56 y/o woman with a 17 y/o daughter so I'm not sure what he thought we did. I thought he was unfriendly in dealing with him anyway from the start. When I leave a hotel, I personally always bag all the trash and leave it on the desk so it's easy to get and leave the other trash cans empty with a clean bag. I leave all towels in a single pile on top of the bathroom counter and remotes are left exactly next to the TV when I leave. The only thing a housekeeper would have to do is grab a bag of trash, a pile of towels and make the beds, other than their own washing counters, tub and vacuuming. I always make it easy on the housekeepers out of respect for their work.
